Dormer, born 11 February 1982 was an English actress from England. Her awards
include an Empire Award, and receiving nominations for a Critics' Choice Award
as well as two Gemini Awards and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Dormer was
born in Reading (Berkshire) and made her television debut playing Anne Boleyn
on the Showtime series The Tudors. This role was praised by the public. She
made her stage debut in the play Sweet Nothings (2010) and played the Duchess
of York in Madonna's movie W.E. (2011) and Private Lorraine in Captain America
the First Avenger (2011). Her performance in After Miss Julie (2012) at the
Young Vic was praised. Dormer was highly praised for her performance in After
Miss Julie (2012) at the Young Vic. She was also the voice of Onica in The Dark
Crystal: Age of Resistance (2018), Sara Price Jess Price in The Forest (2016),
and Irene Adler/Moriarty for the CBS series Elementary (2013)-15. The show was
well-received for her performance in Penny Dreadful City of Angels (2020).
Dormer was born on 11 February 1982 in Reading, Berkshire (England), as the
daughter of Gary Dormer & Claire Richards. She is also the mother of
Samantha Dormer and Mark Dormer.
